 #1  In-home Dog training/Behavior Consultations:

We specialize in Canine Behavior Consultations and Dog Training in the privacy of your own home. F.I.D.O. implements positive training techniques taught by Heath Wills the co-founder of  F.I.D.O. 

Heath is a Professional Dog Trainer and a Behavior Consultant who has over a decade of experience with an extensive ongoing Canine Behavior background. Considered by many to be an expert in the field of Canine behavior as it applies to households across America. Heath will teach you and your dog how to communicate better by utilizing current scientific study about dogs. You will not hear wolf pack dominance theories or receive training based on dominance. He does not believe in or teach  dominant/submissive relationships between you and your dog. He teaches and believes in  leader/follower relationships. Heath does not use pain to train, instead he chooses to use Clickers and positive motivators such as Verbal praise, Physical praise, Food or Toys. You will learn about Positive Interrupters, Redirection and much more. You will gain an education about positive ways to get desired behaviors and the cons of using Compulsion training when dealing with household behavior issues. 

“I founded F.I.D.O. for three reasons. First, to share my love and understanding of canine behavior; Secondly, I have found that both dog and owner benefit much more if the family is involved in the training process. My final reason is my deep desire to keep dogs out of shelters and rescues due to behavior issues. There are many reasons why Dog shelters and Rescues are filling up but are you aware that hundreds of dogs are relinquished to these places mostly due to the fact that owners cannot deal with the negative behaviors being offered by their dog? One of our goals is to help eliminate bad behavior as the reason for relinquishment. I have attended many schools of thought on Canine Training/Behavior, taught puppy training classes and studied several different methodologies over the past 14 years. I am a crossover trainer as of about six years ago, from hard core compulsion training to the much more effective and positive pain free training that I use now. Canine science from a behavioral standpoint is constantly evolving and so will  F.I.D.O. • Now boarding your dog means leaving them at a fun place instead of  just a cage.
• We do not charge for dogs to be let out to play or to have free time. They are free!

Due to the growing demand for F.I.D.O.’s professional service, we now have two office locations so that we can provide service to more locations. We have one main office located in Lancaster Ohio and our sister office is located in Sunbury Ohio. This enables us to cover more areas regarding pet sitting and overnight stay services.
